your home in the mountains
throughout the retreat, the 2 magpies will be our peaceful home in hunza. an eco-friendly nature resort in aliabad, where charming wooden huts sit among trees and face the surrounding mountains.
thoughtfully chosen
the 2 magpies was created by nature and bird lovers arif and umbreen as a quiet place to rest, create and reconnect. named after the local magpies that visit the garden, the resort offers a calm setting to return to after days spent exploring the mountains.
during the retreat, it will be a place for slow mornings, shared chai, peaceful evenings and the conversations that continue long after dinner.

everything you need to know
your comfort matters to us. here are a few practical details to help you choose your stay and prepare for your time in the mountains.
-
you’ll choose your preferred hut category when booking. availability is limited, so selections are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
absolutely. most guests join independently, and everyone is given their own private hut or room to support rest, reflection and the healing process.
we don’t usually recommend sharing with someone you haven’t travelled with. shared accommodation is best suited to guests attending with a friend, family member or partner.
-
every hut has its own private en-suite bathroom with a shower, giving guests comfort and privacy throughout their stay.
-
every hut has reliable hot water, heating and a private en-suite bathroom with a shower. extra blankets can also be provided whenever needed, helping guests stay warm and comfortable throughout their time in the mountains.
-
wi-fi and mobile signal are available within the resort, but connectivity in the mountains can occasionally be limited. we encourage guests to see this as an opportunity to slow down and disconnect.
-
we’ll ask about allergies and dietary needs before the retreat and work closely with our hosts and local restaurants to accommodate them wherever possible.
-
a complete packing guide will be shared before departure, including guidance on clothing, footwear, prayer essentials and anything needed for hikes or outdoor activities.
-
some huts and pathways may involve steps, uneven ground or sloped outdoor areas. guests with mobility or accessibility needs should contact us before booking so we can discuss the most suitable option.
