each day has been intentionally shaped to create a balance between meaningful experiences and unhurried time. mornings begin gently, afternoons invite exploration and evenings bring us together through food, reflection and. community.

the itinerary is a guide and may change slightly depending on the weather, local conditions and the natural rhythm of the group.
your retreat, day by day

your journey begins with a morning flight to skardu, followed by a scenic drive through dramatic mountain landscapes towards hunza.
after settling into your accommodation, we’ll gather for a sunset dinner, welcome chai and our opening circle. you’ll receive your retreat journal and a collection of thoughtful gifts designed to accompany you throughout the week.

begin the morning with communal prayer and gentle sunrise yoga as the valley wakes around you.
after breakfast, we’ll gather for a guided journalling workshop before exploring the historic heart of karimabad. the day includes a visit to baltit fort, a traditional khao pilau lunch and time to wander through karimabad bazaar, discovering local cafés, crafts and artisans.
we’ll pause together for sunset prayer before sharing dinner and reflecting on the day.

the morning begins with yoga and a guided wellness workshop centred on grounding, emotional wellbeing and meaningful connection.
later, we’ll travel towards nagar for a traditional outdoor karhai cooking experience. together, we’ll prepare and share a meal while learning more about local food, hospitality and everyday life.
the evening ends with a relaxed barbecue, bonfire and storytelling beneath the stars.

we’ll leave early for one of the retreat’s most memorable adventures: a guided hike to baskochi meadows.
the journey will be taken at a thoughtful pace, with time to pause, breathe and absorb the mountain scenery. once we reach the meadows, we’ll gather for a restorative sound-healing session surrounded by the peaks.
after descending, we’ll enjoy lunch beside the water, a gentle boat ride and an evening of dinner and stargazing.

after a slow morning and guided breathwork, we’ll walk between gulmit and ghulkin, taking in the peaceful rhythm of village life and the beauty of upper hunza.
we’ll then be welcomed into a traditional 900-year-old home, where we’ll learn about local customs, family traditions and the stories passed down through generations. over traditional food, we’ll experience the warmth of hunza hospitality and connect more deeply with the culture of the valley.

begin with morning yoga before travelling to the tranquil shores of borith lake.
we’ll share a relaxed picnic beside the water, with time to walk, journal or simply sit with the landscape. in the afternoon, a guided art-therapy workshop will invite you to explore memory, emotion and self-expression through creativity.
after dinner, we’ll gather for an intention circle and reflect on what has begun to shift throughout the retreat.

after a slower breakfast, we’ll travel towards passu for a guided dhikr hike overlooking passu glacier, bringing together faith, movement and the mountains.
later, we’ll gather for a special musical night — a full evening of live local music, traditional food and celebration. it will be one of the most memorable moments of the retreat, bringing everyone together to honour hunza’s culture and our final night in the valley.

we’ll leave hunza early and begin the scenic journey back towards skardu.
once there, we’ll explore some of the region’s most beautiful landscapes, including upper kachura lake, soq valley and lower kachura. depending on conditions, the day may also include boating or a gentle adventure activity.
our final evening will be spent sharing dinner and reflecting on the journey before the return home early the next morning.

this retreat is not about rushing from one activity to the next.
throughout the week, there will be space to rest, journal, explore independently or simply sit with the mountains. some of the most meaningful moments may be the ones that were never placed on the itinerary.
